Fab Recipe: Avocado Fries and Spicy Dip

December 11, 2015 by Contributing Writer

Avocado Fries // Photo : @vansventuresThe holidays are here so it’s time for potlucks, parties, and bonding time with family and friends! Since it’s always such a busy time of year, I love having simple and quick recipes, which give me more time to enjoy the festivities of the season.

As you may have read in my Golden Green Smoothie post, avocados have been a part of my life for a long time. With their luscious green color, they are perfect to use in a holiday snack recipe! The golden coating with the deep green of the avocado make it the perfect holiday snack. I like my food more on the spicy side, so I’m going to use red chili sauce (such as Sriracha or Fix Hot Sauce) for the dip to pair with the avocado fries. If you want a redder color to your dip, you can add more hot sauce. If you’ve got a feast to prepare, these little dippers can keep your guests occupied as an appetizer while you finish your masterpiece entree.

FAB TIP: Serve the avocado fries with a small bowl of lime juice on the side for dipping as well. Lime juice first, then the spicy dip. You’ll thank me later.

Avocado is my favorite ingredient to use in a recipe. You may have noticed since I’ve used avocados in two recipes now! If you have any recipes to recommend with avocado as a main ingredient, feel free to send them my way. I would love to try more recipes this season.

So what’s your favorite holiday recipe? Have you ever tried avocado fries before? Please let us know. We look forward to hearing from you!

Until the next venture.

With love,
Van
